Hey – a new post in a pretty long time. Hopefully I will return to a more ‘serious’ writing schedule.
For today’s bite, you can read (and of course see photos) about a daytrip to Baiului mountains. After a long list of weekends of going to the seaside, I decided to change the menu this past weekend. Therefore, my dad and I, went on Sunday to Baiului.
The weather was pretty good for taking photos – very dramatic skies – and as a bonus I didn’t feel scorched by the sun. The only negative of the day was the descent. A 1.5hour easy descent became a 6hours trek through woods, wading along a river and following a forestry trail all the way from Azuga to Busteni. Oh, and jumping the fence of a private property (pretty nice place, curious what it was).
All the negatives were caused by bad (read: inexisting) trail signs, badly mantained wood trails and some bad decisions we took. However what should have been a quick walk became a real adventure.
UPDATE: a few more photos added – enjoy!

Lovely photos, made me rethink mountains over seaside. Although Portita sounds excellent as well… hmm…
The theme of this blog and your English are rusty and unfortunate. Please change them 😀
Thank you both.
Broscuta – your comment is thought-provoking. And funny 🙂
