the left out statues

All museums have a lot of art that is never seen by the public. This is the working clay for thematic exhibitions, or research material for museologists and art students. I always imagine dark, dusty hallways filled with countless crates containing unseen pieces of art.

Sometime though these ‘orphans’ get to be seen. In the case of these statues in an inner courtyard, I feel the decaying setting make for a better viewing experience.
