Ok, so now it’s 19 days since I last wrote on the blog. I have a few hundred photos waiting to be processed and uploaded, still  a lot to write about the trip to Paris, a few interesting happenings in Bucharest, and yet I haven’t written anything. Not a single word.

I am actually ashamed about this. I do hope that the coming Bestfest will change this. Or at least the virtual dust settling on my files will. If not, the soonish trip to Vama Veche might.

So, if you regularly check the silence on this blog – stay tuned.

Today brings a new set of photos that I just finished to post-process. I know that I should probably just upload one huge set and then let you enjoy them, but remember that the blog name is “bits and bobs”. So you get photo bits every day

I am considering of starting a special page based on the concept of “Photo a day”. What do you think? Each day I upload one new photo.

I promised some time ago that I will post some short info on the websites I use most frequently when I plan a trip.

I start today with skyscanner.net, probably the best flight search website (at least for low-cost airlines). There are lots of websites that allow you to search for a flight on specific dates, for a specific destination. But most often I do not have a particular destination in mind, nor a specific month. I am just waiting to be surprised. And Skyscanner can do that. (continue reading…)
