As most of you already know my short holiday to Paris came to an end on last Sunday. Although now I am back to Romania, you should still expect to receive short bits on Paris and most importantly pictures from there. There were different reasons for which I was not able to blog on-the-go so now I will try to compensate.
If I haven’t already said this – Paris is an amazing city. From all the places I have visited this is the most crowded city in terms of interesting, fascinating, places to see and visit. Every step brings the traveler to a new monument, church, square or at least a nice cafe.
In this post I will do a short recap of what I did in Paris, so you know what kind of pictures you should expect.
- I have been to Versailles (it is the second time I am visiting that palace) and this time I really took my time in walking the gardens – which are amazing. Of course – classics like “gallerie des glaces” still make the best photos.
- I met Mickey and co at Disneyland Paris, and this should deserve a post of it’s own. Great for children, a big yawn for people expecting adrenalin-inducing roller coasters.
- Louvre proved to be an exhausting place to see – trying to visit every section might have been a slight mistake
Venus from Milo and Victory of Samothrace (among others) are amazing art pieces. - pubs and clubs also proved to be interesting destinations
- Erotic museum – while being a good source for laughs – is a very interesting place to see
- could not visit Paris and not see the famous Pere Lachaise cemetery – and no, I did not go there to see Jim Morisson’s grave
- countless other place got my attention and were captured in photos
After this short summary – which is just the ‘appetizer’ for later posts – enjoy these few photos.
